I grew up in Nord Isère, and I have spent a lot of time exploring mountains while travelling from 2015 and 2018. I practiced cycle touring, hiking, climbing and back country skiing.
Animated by an environmental awareness, I am following an eco friendly lifestyle. As a nature lover, I am attracted by wild plants, fauna and flora, and I am aiming to spread these interests around me.
Passionate about cooking, processing, foraging plants; I experiment and season my cuisine with delicate attentions.
I have been working in the mountains for few years and I have experienced the joy of living collective moments around a commune table.
I am pleased to offer the chance to observe, get inspired and appreciate the scenic environment from the hut.

What should I take?
Please bring a sleeping liner or sleeping bag (a part for the double rooms). Get also a towel and your favorite slippers.

At the refuge-gîte
In Vallon d'Ambin, Haute Maurienne, the staff is happy to welcome you in a comfortable place, in nature, between the river and the woods.
From the refuge-gîte many hiking trails will take you to mountain lakes in the different valleys nearby. Your hikes will be aided by several carparks higher up in altitude.
For a gourmet break during the day, or an overnight stay in the mountains, discover the Refuge-Gîte du Suffet and its home made cuisine.
During the day
On the terrace, enjoy fresh beverages with home made pastries or savoury plates.
On the evening
There is a single generous and tasty vegetarian menu. A single menu made with organic and local products mainly.
On the morning
A full and varied breakfast buffet, served from 7:00 to 8:30 am.
Lunch box
Enjoy a home made and zero waste lunch box. Please bring your box, cuttlery and a bag.
Private hire
You can hire the Refuge-Gîte and appreciate the whole space.
A well equipped kitchen will give you full autonomy.
If you prefer to get the catering services please let me know.
The private hire is available from 20 people.

Staying a night at Refuge-Gîte du Suffet, in the mountains, is an invitation to discover a preserved site. Among friends or family, choose the type of room that suits you and enjoy the closeness to Parc National de la Vanoise.
For your holidays in Savoie, the discovery of the beautiful valleys in Haute Maurienne, le Refuge-Gîte is a base for your cultural and sportive trip.
On a multiday hike or for a short stay, travel light and serene with the half board option and the opportunity to get a lunch box for the following day.
Camping
A natural camping area located 100 meters away from the hut, allows you to stay as long as you wish. The easy access to our facilities and the equipped kitchen will give you full autonomy.

With easy access by car, our different rooms and the beautiful surroundings are suitable for workshops, trainings, corporate events and gatherings.
Professionals, artists, companies are welcome to organize an event in the mountains.
